Terms of Service

1. The app

Mangala is a personal memory keeper for Ashtanga practice. It lets you mark each day's practice, hold a reflection and photo beside it, and watch a year of practice fill the cloth. It is not a medical, fitness, or coaching service, and nothing in it is advice. Always practise within your own limits and consult a qualified teacher or doctor where appropriate.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use Mangala. By using the app you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Accounts

You can use Mangala without an account. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google to sync your practice and claim a profile, you're responsible for keeping access to that sign-in secure. You may pick a unique @username; usernames are assigned on a first-come basis and we may reclaim or change one that is inactive, impersonates someone, or breaks these terms.

4. Your content

Your marks, reflections, and photos are yours. Mangala is local-first: your practice record lives on your device, and is copied to your account only if you sign in to sync. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, back up, and display that content to you across your devices, and — for anything you choose to make part of a public profile — to show it to other members. You are responsible for the content you add and for having the right to use any photos you attach.

5. Acceptable use

Use Mangala for your own practice. Don't use it to upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; impersonate others; harass other members; or attempt to disrupt, probe, reverse-engineer, or misuse the app or the sync service. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.

6. The sync service

Sync and accounts are provided on a reasonable-efforts basis and may change, pause, or be discontinued. We aren't responsible for keeping the only copy of your data — please don't rely on the app as your sole backup.

7. Third-party services

Mangala relies on third parties including Apple, Google, and Supabase, and is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms.

8. No warranty

Mangala is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will never lose data.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app.

10. Termination

You can stop using Mangala at any time and delete the app. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken. You can ask us to delete your account and synced data by writing to the address below.

11. Changes

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be noted here with a new "last updated" date; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
